In a design-build arrangement with EllisDon, DIALOG, and Smoke Architecture, WalterFedy provided civil engineering services for the $105 million expansion to Centennial College’s Progress Campus A Block building.
The expansion includes new academic spaces, flexible classrooms to support active learning, and showcase the College’s commitment to Truth and Reconciliation and sustainable design. WalterFedy’s scope included design for functional servicing, stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, and re-alignment of an existing campus road.
To promote sustainability, the servicing design included the installation of a cistern to capture rooftop runoff for re-use in the landscape irrigation system.
